BRIDGING THE URBAN DIVIDE
This one-year project will address the barriers and adverse experiences of Indigenous youth (ages 18-29) who are attempting to transition into living in an urban environment. The Navigator will be responsible for or arrange for the delivery of essential skills workshops, employment certifications, one-on-one related counselling, and industry-specific supports to Indigenous youth in urban settings. The Navigator will recruit clients and deliver three 12-week sessions to three cohorts during life of the project. The successful individual will be subject to the policies and procedures of GBNFC and under the direct daily supervision of the Executive Director or designate.
